If you purchased a membership as a gift you can simply sign in to your account on the Cask Club website and change the user and email to your giftees details!

  • Shipping timing

Bi-monthly shipments occur around the 15th of the month and take around 1-2 weeks for delivery by common carrier. Expedited shipments may be requested on a case by case basis. Please reach out to our customer care team if you have delivery timing issues.

    • Shipments occur in February, April, June, August, October and December. If you sign up before the 15th of the month you will receive your first shipment in that bi-monthly period. If you sign up with us after the 15th of the month you will receive your first shipment with the following bi-monthly shipments.

  • Shipping process

Shipments will be made by FedEx/UPS/GLS and will require an adult signature on delivery to ensure compliant delivery of alcohol to those 21+. Most shipments can be held at a location for pick up if you are unable to be home to sign for the package. Please reach out to our customer care team if you need help requesting a hold.

  • Returns

Due to alcohol shipping compliance we are unable to receive returns in most instances. If there is an issue during delivery and your bottle is marked as damaged by a carrier we will happily arrange a reshipment or replacement where possible.

  • Damage

These things happen! Our carriers do their best to keep your parcels safe but please note that damage can occur. If we have stock remaining of your selected cask we will replace it asap but reserve the right to replace with a different hand-selected single cask if stock is exhausted.

  • Substitutions

Unfortunately substitutions aren’t possible as we do not hold excess stock and work for months to collaborate on each cask before release. If there is a particular release that you cannot accept for some reason, we may be able to skip that quarter and offer you a one-quarter extension on your subscription.

Let’s get transparent on

Pricing

  • Single Cask: You may not have heard the phrase “single cask” or “single barrel” before. Essentially, instead of whiskey batched and pulled from hundreds of casks, it’s the whiskey bottled from one *single* cask and that individual cask will have its own special aging, maturation and finishing to boost its uniqueness.

Regular Release: as you’d expect these are the whiskey bottles found in stores that are released by brands in large batches. Think Glenlivet 12 or Eagle Rare. Extremely available, consistent and fiercely price competitive in the market. Anyone, anywhere can get their hands on these bottles.

The difference: if you’re looking for a unique product then choose the single cask membership tier and we ensure no product you ever receive could be found in stores anywhere in the world. Your bottle is unique and exclusively yours and the value cannot be undermined by “Dave’s Liquor” down the road.

  • How shipping works in 2024: Most companies are unable to own their own specialty delivery fleets so need to work with the likes of FedEx, UPS and regional carriers to deliver goods safely to your door. The rates charged by these companies are often non-negotiable or restricted by volume, delivery regions, and a few other factors and, on average, shipping can work out to be between $10 and $30 per parcel.

Our philosophy: At Cask Club, shipping costs are built into your member fee at a weighted average of $20. This is crucial for maintaining fair pricing and supporting a healthy labor market, particularly where it is not possible to compete with massive corporations.

These costs cover worker wages, packaging, and transportation. We aim to balance competitive pricing while ensuring fair compensation for our supply chain. Your support is appreciated.

  • Three-Tier System: It’s not very sexy but useful to know. The “cost of goods sold” represent the price of product as it passes through the federally required Three-Tier System and include the markups that each tier needs to make. Every bottle of alcohol you have ever bought in America has gone through this system save for a few small exceptions where state regulations allow for variance to federal law.

International Spirits: it’s important to note that any international bottles will have an additional tier and mark up applied to them in the form of an importer, whose job it is to bring in products from around the world and compliantly pass them into the American Three-Tier System.

What it means for us: we need to account for each of these tiers when sourcing casks. We will work with makers to produce bottles that are specialty and exclusive while still maintaining affordability and accessibility.

Extras: Our product prices include built-in maintenance costs, ensuring lasting quality service. We emphasize fair employment practices and believe in open communication, empowering customers to make informed choices about the value and reliability we provide.
